Adult Virtual Cookalong Class! Mediterranean Feast with Chef Mike Genest!

Let’s cook up a beautiful dinner together! Chef Mike Genest is Executive Chef at Hart House and he has put together a Mediterranean inspired menu with local ingredients that we can all cook together in 90-minutes. He will show you some tricks for a stunning Saturday night! Whether you are cooking for yourself or cooking alongside someone, it’s always nice to create a good meal! This class is virtual through Zoom. All ingredients required and kitchen items will be emailed ahead of time. Let’s have some fun together!
- Crispy Haloumi salad ( Chef will be using Mt Lehman’s local version ) Arugula, local cherries, pistachio, glazed beets, aged balsamic dressing
- Seared halibut “Zarzuela” – Mussels , clams, prawns , tomatoes and fresh herbs with a roasted pepper, almond and shellfish broth. Zarzuela is a traditional Spanish seafood stew from the Catalan region of Spain . The almonds in the broth add a unique richness and it is one of the most delicious dishes that seafood dishes Chef Michael has ever had. With the abundance of seafoods that BC has to offer you can easily put your own twist on this dish by adding any type of fish or shellfish that you like .
