Cooking for One – Nourish Your Soul! 3-Week Series with Chef Kyla

Cooking for one can sometimes seem like more work than it’s worth, but the benefits of a well-rounded diet and delicious food can immensely improve your physical and mental health. In this 3-week kitchen therapy, as we call it, Chef Kyla will teach you how to use simple ingredients for recipes that don’t take all day to make.  Being on your own may not be the most uplifting thing, so taking the time for self-care and love are very important.  Our hope is that you will feel the difference and understand why it’s worth it after this series.



Week 1: Thursday, November 8 1130am-2pm

  • French Mustard Chicken- Crispy chicken thighs simmered in two kinds of mustard, shallots and white wine, finished with cream (recipes also sampled are coconut chicken, served with a orange honey mustard sauce, and a chicken breast stuffed with fresh Guacamole, wrapped in bacon and served with a hint of lime)
  • Fragrant Basmatic Rice with Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Roasted Fennel with Parmeggiano-Reggiano
  • Balsamic and Thyme Crimini Mushrooms

Week 2: Thursday, November 15 1130am-2pm

  • Sundried Tomato Pesto with Penne Roasted Garlic and Italian Sausage
  • Prawn Linguine with arugula, white wine, a lemon butter sauce and a hint of chili
  • Beetroot, Radicchio, Gorgonzola and toasted Walnut Salad
  • Tuscan Panzanella Salad- Rustic sourdough bread ripped up and tossed with a fresh tomato and basil salad
  • Grapefruit, Celeriac and shaved Fennel Salad

Week 3: Thursday, November 22 1130am-2pm

  • Salmon en Pappilote- Parchment baked lemon Salmon, zucchini and potatoes
  • Homemade Dill Dressing made with yogurt
  • Fragrant Basmatic Rice with Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • New England Seafood Chowder
  • Fresh Fluffy Biscuits

Gift cards cannot be redeemed online but you can reserve with credit card and exchange for gift card in store the day of the class or before.  All class cancelations receive store credit, however ABSOLUTELY NO CREDIT GIVEN FOR SERIES IF NOTICE GIVEN WITHIN 72 HOURS OF FIRST CLASS STARTING. You may send someone in your place or forfeit your seat and we will send the recipes. Don’t forget you receive 10% off your shopping the day of your class!
