Luxe Pastries! PÃ¢te a Choux! With Chef Valentine

Move over Macarons!!! You are so yesterday â¦ Kidding, we loveyou, but today the new craze straight from France is PÃ¢te a Choux! So what is PÃ¢te a Choux? Known to some of you as “choux pastry”, they are a family of dessert, big and small puffs, all made with the same dough base, which we call “PÃ¢te a Choux”.
No baking experience? Worried it will betoo difficult and you won’t be able to do it again at home? You might have taken a macaron class before or another cooking/baking class, and once at home felt very discouragedâ¦ after many trials, you thought just is just a fantasy dish reserved only for elite cooks and bakersâ¦ But not with Valentine! We promise this is an easy one to do at home, no fancy equipment, oven and ingredients are required, and Valentines techniques are foolproof, you can-do at home!
And what comes out from it? Well the possibilities are endless, but here are a few things you will learn in this class:
GougÃ¨res: the savory version, with cheese added in the dough
Chouxa la crÃ¨me: the classic cream puff
Profiteroles: the choux is filled with vanilla ice cream and covered with warm chocolate sauce
Chouquettes: cute and simple little puff simply covered with crunchy sugar bits, a childhood fav!
Eclairs a la pistache: the long version of the choux, filled with pistachio cream
This class is partly hands-on. Please bring a container to take some home!
