Salads with Sizzle! With Chef Glenys Morgan

Sometimes a good salad is all we want on a summer day, but it needs a little something to make it a supper salad! Some share the plate with a nice bit of protein, others it’s in the mix. Enjoy lots of great veggies, fresh dressings and easy options for the vegetarians in the crowd.
- California BLT Salad- add and subtract from this cousin to a Cobb salad, dressed with a creamy avocado dressing. It sports heirloom tomatoes, crispy bacon bits, grilled avocado, greens, local artisan cheese and lots of flavour.
- Lobster Love- a little French, a little Cape Cod. Grill a few lobster tails (or crab if you like) and toss with new corn, baby potatoes, a citrusy herb vinaigrette and greens. Voilà!
- Smoky Seared Flank Steak with Black Bean “Salsa” Salad- get a good sear on a juicy flank steak, add a black bean salad packed with red and yellow peppers, corn…… and a bright tangy lime dressing. Something for everyone!
- Fruit Salad- of course- with a combination of honey- grilled and fresh seasonal fruit and berries served with Greek yogurt.
